Terrell is not someone who fell into the custom-clothing business. Nor was it a backup option for him. The appreciation he has for fashion and style is really in his blood.

Terrell’s maternal grandmother, a self-taught seamstress and alterationist, had a sense of style he noticed and admired as a child. His grandmother passed her gifts on to most of her daughters, including his mother. Between the influence of his mother, hip-hop culture and even preppy schoolmates, Terrell started getting serious about the clothes he wore while he was in middle school. At the end of high school, he was voted “Best Dressed” by his senior classmates.

After earning a degree in Fashion Design and working toward another, Terrell realized he no longer aspired to design custom clothing for future clients. He learned he was more passionate about styling others while selling men's ready-made clothing—for a bargain-suit chain store, and then a luxury department store—until he earned the second degree.

In order to familiarize himself with the business, Terrell eventually chose to partner with an established custom-clothing company. After working with that company as an independent clothier for several years, he decided it was time to carry out his ultimate goal and vision ...

Avenue Parkwood

Avenue Parkwood specializes in quality men’s tailored clothing—shirts, suits, outercoats and more. The clothing is constructed by skilled CMT garment makers, and clients are offered some of the finest fabrics from which to choose.

We go beyond just selling clothing. When necessary, we take pride in being able to explain the whys to clients: why the shirt collar should be based on a person's face shape and physique; why the peaked lapel flatters portly men; why pants with no belt loops flatter (some) shorter men; and so forth.

Our primary objective is to make sure clients are confident, knowing they will be wearing clothing that is best suited for them and no one else.
